in regards to pricing, there is no other tutoring centre that offers our personal approach, rich content, and high quality of teaching at our competitive price. for each grade, the course program includes the:

• weekly 2x hours lessons, taught by our qualified and passionate educators
• high quality weekly resource booklet
• personal school work help
• relevant and supporting homework tasks
• individualised homework marking
• end of term exams to track progress
• termly feedback on students’ progress

although our pricing varies by grade, we are consistently providing the best service offerings for every single one of our students.

as our online course programs continue to deliver the same high-quality teaching, materials, and personal approach as our in-centre course programs, there is no change to the pricing.

marquis’ online course program still includes the:

• weekly 2x hours lessons, taught online by our qualified and passionate educators
• high quality weekly resource booklet that can be printed or accessed online
• personal school work help during the online lesson
• relevant and supporting homework tasks that can be printed or accessed online
• individualised homework marking, submitted and marked online
• end of term exams to track progress
• termly feedback on students’ progress

as well as additional online services, including:

• weekly reports sent to parents on students’ classwork and discussion
• recorded lessons that can be sent to students for review
• online collaboration between like-minded classmates (less than 8 in each class)
• efficient help and service from the marquis team

for students attending both maths & english, the second class will be discounted by 20%.

if a student would like some additional help, they can submit their draft essays and creative pieces to our online marquing service and receive prompt and detailed feedback from our team of experienced markers.

students are allowed unlimited submissions to be marked throughout the 10-week term for a single fee of $195.

to receive feedback, students should email [email protected] with a copy of their draft and the assessment task attached. in the message, clearly state the student’s full name, school and directions for marking. within 2 to 3 days, students will receive a marked version of their draft, showing detailed comments and suggestions for improvement.

if students are looking for additional help on reviewing their school assessments, homework, or exam results, we encourage you to book an additional individual lesson with one of our passionate educators.

the individual lesson will help support students by providing extra help and attention to their learning in our termly program.

we focus on producing the most up to date content mapped to the national curriculum which supplements each student’s learning at school, and in addition we provide dedicated teachers who will prioritise your child’s education and support them throughout the entire year.

furthermore, we also provide access to countless notes and past papers, curated over multiple years, with a focus on enriching and challenging our students. last but not least, we also provide a fully structured curriculum deeply integrated with an intuitive feedback platform which has proven results each year.

no, we don’t rank according to levels or schools in the junior grades. however, we do separate for senior years.

in general, our curriculum is quite advanced and we teach our topics for both maths and english ahead of school by one term.

our programs are deeply integrated with the key outcomes of the NESA school syllabus but it may feel difficult as it is one term ahead of most schools. we strongly believe that learning ahead provides the second time learning advantage at school.

essentially, it's meant to be slightly challenging when they learn it with marquis because it’s their first moment of discovery. by design, it is meant to be ahead of school to help our pupils have an edge amongst their peers and achieve excellence at school level.

at marquis we focus on equipping students with the skills necessary for all facets of english & maths. although we understand that we may be teaching our students topics that are different to what they are studying in school, we comprehensively cover the entire NESA syllabus so that your child will be prepared when they encounter the topic at school.

for english, we will provide them with the tools needed for writing an A range essay, creative and other skills like reading comprehension for english. for maths, we will help them master major math concepts and develop efficient problem solving techniques.

please keep in mind that as students get into year 12, for english we offer text specific classes and provide detailed analysis on the HSC texts they are studying in school, and for maths we offer school specific and accelerated classes for 2U, 3U & 4U maths.

the teacher gives a 5 minute break in the middle of each lesson and your child is welcome to bring in a snack for then.

there is a 15 minute break between the two subjects and we encourage them to bring in something to eat during that time.

our term course does not run during the holidays as it goes for 10 weeks each term. during the holiday, we run other courses and you can enrol your child in them if you’d like. we will normally advertise on our ‘holiday programs’ page and email the details regarding our holiday courses a few weeks before.
